I looked myself up in Gemini one morning.

It was disappointing.

Gemini generated an answer about me that was totally incorrect and based on a career I had left ages ago.

I even remember writing bios with some of the words Gemini used to describe me.

TBH, I was pissed.

…angry typing…

“That doesn’t sound right. I thought he was an AI Search Readiness Expert.”

The second-generated answer was also incorrect.

This time, Gemini made something up, calling me the “founder of the ASR Group.”

No such thing.

Not true.

…bangin’ on the keyboard now…

“I thought he founded a company called Penpixel Creative?”

Gemini was closer to the (actual) answer, but still had incorrect details and missing information about me.

WTF… I’ve spent years establishing my reputation. Shouldn’t my name be synonymous with AI search readiness and Penpixel Creative?

Here’s what happened.

My name carries legacy SEO credibility.

When I was in hospitality, I wrote for big industry publications. When I moved into content, the algorithms associated me with those professions.

Then, LLMs were trained on that legacy data.

They haven’t made the connection between the "old me" and the "new me" yet.

In technical terms, I have Entity Debt

My legacy signals are so strong that they are drowning out my current authority.

The AI isn't just "wrong"; it's anchored to a past version of me because I haven't forced a new clarity.

If this is happening to a person, imagine what is happening to your brand.
